at a court held 20.3.1684 Geo Toller gentleman was admitted to him and heirs to one messuage or tenement with appurtenances called Copses situate on Colneford Hill then in occupation of Caleb Measant and also to all that messuage called Morses sometime Baker's with yards and appurtenances and also to all that part of a yard called the Wellyard called Clarks late Ward's and also to all that messuage or tenement called Shaws with a garden late Ward's and at a court held 21.3.1700 Geo Toller was admitted to him and heirs to one customary messuage or tenement then in three tenements divided called or known by name of Swinesty or other then in separate occupation of Robt Davy Anne Finch and Ann Hatch widow and after said admission said Geo Toller surrendered all and singular his premises to use of his last will now to this court appears to homage that Geo Toller after last court died seised and after to this court came Eliz Toller spinster eldest daughter of Geo Toller deceased and produced in court last will of Geo Toller dated 9.8.1712 in following english words viz item I give to my loving daughter Eliz Toller and to her heirs and assigns forever all that messuage or tenement wherein I now dwell with all the houses outhouses malt office yards gardens orchards lands meadows and pasture ground lying on the backside thereof and therewith now used and appertaining item I further give to the said Eliz my daughter and her heirs all those two tenements with the yards thereunto belonging now in the several occupations of Sarah Wade widow and Edw Goule lying in Earls Colne aforesaid item I further give to the said Eliz Toller my daughter and her heirs all those my three cottages lying in Earls Colne aforesaid and now in the several tenures or occupations of Edw Crow Ann Finch widow and Ann Hatch item I further give to the said Eliz Toller and her heirs all the right title and reversion which I had after the decease of Martha Vangover widow of and in or to one messuage or tenement situate upon Colneford Hill now in tenure or occupation of Jos Bott which was surrendered to me by Anne Appleton widow item I further give to the said Eliz my daughter and her heirs all that messuage or tenement formerly a tan office with the yard and barn to the same belonging and the same are now divided into several tenements and now are in the several tenures or occupations of the widow Rayment Wm Peartree (may be Wm Peartree) and Jn Hudson and situate in Earls Colne aforesaid as by the said will plainly appears and thereupon the said Eliz Toller present here in court humbly petitions etc admitted to the premises etc to the form and effect of the said will etc fealty respited
