at a court held 16.3.1707 Sam Finch was admitted to him and heirs to one messuage or cottage with yard and garden belonging with appurtenances called Francis held of annual rent 8d with other services now at this court appears etc Sam Finch 5.6.1713 surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Edw Andrewes gentleman in place of the bailiff and in presence of Hen Adams senior and Jn White two customary tenants etc said messuage or cottage with appurtenances then or late in separate tenures or occupations of Jn Hatch and Thos Pease or assigns to sole use Jn Prentice of Gores in Colne Engaine in county of Essex yeoman his heirs and assigns forever who present here in court humbly petitions etc admitted to premises etc giving the lords fine etc
