to this court comes Argor Negus junior and produces in court certain attornment of lands and petitions for them to be enrolled wit know all men by these presents that I Rachel Nelly of Poplar wife of Francis Nelly of Poplar in the county of Middlesex mariner and sole daughter and heiress of Jon Negus of the same place mariner deceased for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have made ordained and constituted and appointed and in my place and stead put and by these presents do make ordain constitute and appoint and in my place and stead put Argor Negus junior of Aldham in the county of Essex yeoman my true and lawful attorney and assignee for me and in my name to appear and at the next court to be holden for the several manors of Earls Colne and Colne Priory in the said county of Essex before the lady of the said manor or her sufficient deputy or steward and then and there for me and in my name and to my use to require and take admittance and to be admitted unto all such lands tenements and hereditaments or belonging to or holden of the said several manors of Earls Colne and Colne Priory whereunto my late father Jon Negus deceased was duly admitted in his lifetime according to custom of the said several manors and whereof he died seised or possessed to the use off me the said Rachel Nelly my heirs and assigns forever giving and by these presents granting unto my said attorney all my lawful power and authority and about the premises and one attorney or more under him to make substitute and appoint and at pleasure to revoke and generally to do execute prosecute and perform all and every such further and other lawful act and acts thing or things whatsoever within or about the premises as shall be needful necessary or convenient to be done as fully and effectually as I myself might or could do the same if personally present ratifying and confirming holding and allowing for firm and effectual all and whatsoever my said attorney his substitutes or assigns shall lawfully do or cause to be done in or about the premises in witness whereof I the said Rachel Nelly have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10.4.9Geo1 Rachel Nelly sealed and delivered being first duly stamped in the presence of Isaac Hill attorney at law in Ladlane near Guildhall Norman Mace his clerk
