to this court comes Rich Potter and Eliz his wife customary tenants of this manor said Eliz first by deputy steward examined and consenting as law is surrender by the rod into hand of lord by hand of said deputy steward all that customary messuage with garden and curtilage adjoining called Sonningwells and all that tenement adjoining called Tabors situate in Earls Colne and now in separate tenure of said Rich Potter and Walt Pease or assigns to use of Geo Brooke gentleman and his heirs forever who present here in court humbly petitions etc admitted tenant to premises giving lord fine which admission is for the intention of recovering     in the said premises with appurtenances according to custom etc thus giving lords fealty
