at this court it appears to homage that Mary Newman a customary tenant of this manor 27.9.1723 surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward all that messuage now in two tenements divided with appurtenances once in tenure of Edw Payne and Esdras Peartree and now or late in tenure of Edw Fell and Robt Foster to use of Edw Fell his heirs and assigns forever which Edw Fell present here in court lords by said steward granted delivery of seisin by the rod to have and hold etc made lord fealty etc
