and also appears to homage that Edw Fell a customary tenant of the manor 26.4.1725 surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward of manor etc all that customary messuage now divided into two tenements with appurtenances then or late in tenure of said Edw and Robt Foster situate in Earls Colne and all and singular his customary lands and tenements held of the manor to use of Mary Newman of Earls Colne spinster her heirs and assigns forever under the condition that if the said Edw or his heirs should pay or cause to be paid said Mary or her executors the full sum of 15li15s at the place and on the day in said sur render mentioned then it would be void etc
