and also it appears to homage that 29.9.1727 Jn White a customary tenant of the manor surrendered by the rod into hand of lord by hand of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward etc all that customary cottage or tenement with appurtenances and half a well situate in Earls Colne in tenure of Jn White or assigns to use of Jn Brewster of Earls Colne wheelwright his heirs and assigns forever under this condition that if Jn White his heirs executors or administrators should pay or cause to be paid to Jn Brewster his executors administrators or assigns the full sum of 10li10s money on 30.9.1728 then surrender would be void
