also at this court it is found by the homage that on 24.4.1732 Jn Pratt Wm Clarke and Eliz his wife and Judith Pratt customary tenants of the manor surrendered by rod into hand of lord by hand of Solomon Grimston gentleman deputy steward of manor she Eliz first secretly examined by deputy steward and consenting according to custom of manor all the customary lands called Chewney Lands with appurtenances containing 9a more or less and also certain copyhold lands and tenements called Parkfield and Chewney with appurtenances in Earls Colne now or late in tenure of Jn Fann or assigns to use of Sam Skeeve of Earls Colne yeoman his heirs and assigns forever on condition that if Jn Pratt Wm Clark and Eliz his wife and Judith Pratt or any of them or their heirs executors administrators or assigns shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid to him Sam Skeeve his executors administrators or assigns the sum of 105li lawful money at the place and on the day and in such manner as herein is mentioned to be void
