and also at this court it is found by homage and witnessed by steward that on 1.5.last past Eliz Clifford spinster customary tenant of manor did out of court surrender by rod into hand of lord by hand and acceptance of steward according to custom of manor all customary barn and 30a land more or less with appurtenances lying in seven crofts called Mitchells in Earls Colne sometime in tenure of Jn Scott and other the lands and tenements she was admitted to on the surrender and last will of her grandfather Edw Cressener and all her estate therein to use of her mother Eliz Clifford widow her heirs and assigns forever whereupon said Eliz Clifford widow craves etc admitted to premises etc and gave lord fine etc
