at a court last april 30.4.1729 Thos Brackley was admitted to him and heirs to all that customary messuage or tenement with appurtenances called Mordens otherwise Crossend formerly Tylers and also to other customary messuage or tenement with appurtenances called Mordens otherwise Crossend situate in Earls Colne then or late in the tenure of Thos Brackley and Sam Hutton or assigns now at this court found by homage that Thos Brackley since last court died seised whereupon Sara Brackley widow and relict of Thos Brackley present brought into court last will of Thos Brackley dated 10.9.1730 the tenor whereof follows in these words to wit item I give and bequeath all these my copyhold messuages called or known by the names of Mordines otherwise Crossend with the appurtenances to the same belonging situate in Earls Colne and now in the tenure of myself and Sam Hutton unto Sara my beloved wife and her heirs and assigns forever as by said will appears which Sara Brackley present here in court humbly desired of lord to be admitted tenant to premises lords by deputy steward delivered seisin by rod to have and to hold etc
