now at this court it is found by homage that Thos Heckford died since last court but before his death he made his will dated 8.7.1741 by which he devised as follows also I give and devise unto said Jn Ruggles and heirs all those my copyhold lands and tenements in Earls Colne in the county of Essex now in the tenure or occupation of Sam Halls or his assigns upon trust to sell and dispose of the same with all convenient speed after my decease and to pay the same money thereby arising and the rents and profits thereof of the sale to and amongst every my said children that shall be living at my decease share and share alike whereupon comes into court said Jn Ruggles and craves to be admitted tenant in pursuance of said will to such part of the premises as are held of the manor to wit to three crofts land called Husseys otherwise High Feilds containing 4a more or less and annual rent of formerly parcel of a tenement containing 30a called Curds also to 1a2r land and meadow lying in two pieces near Colne Park and held by annual rent of and also 2r meadow late parcel of 2a near Colne Park held by annual rent of and also to a croft containing 1r more or less in Sandhills held by annual rent of with every of their appurtenances etc on conditions in will mentioned and is thereof admitted tenant
