fine 8d to this court came Emma Warryner and surrendered into the hands of the lady one cottage with appurtenances next to Park Gate towards Colne to the use of Rich Cooks to whom the lady granted thereof seisin to hold to him his heirs and assigns from the lady at the will of the lady by the ancient services according to the custom of the manor to return per annum to the aforesaid Emma for her lifetime 2s and one hundred faggots at the feast of michaelmas and if it should happen that the said 2s and one hundred faggots should be in arrears in part as of the total at the aforesaid term during the lifetime of Emma herself that forthwith by the good lady's licence the aforesaid Emma should be allowed a reversion in the aforesaid cottage with appurtenances and in person to hold seisin of her interest in the property the previous holding notwithstanding and he gave to the lady for a fine as shown in the margin and made fealty
