fine 20d Rich Cook out of court surrendered into the hands of the bailiff of this manor in the presence of Jn Passomer Wm Atafrethe and other tenants of the lady according to the custom of the manor one tenement with garden and 20a of land more or less being situates and lying in divers crofts of enclosed land called Cruddes with appurtenances to the use of Wm Pottelboy to whom the lady granted thereof seisin to hold to himself and his heirs from the lady at the will of the lady according to the custom of the manor upon such condition that if the aforesaid Wm pay Margt late wife of Adam Crudde one hundred good and adequate faggots annually during her lifetime at the feast of the nativity of st john baptist and illegible text at the feast of all saints during her lifetime then the aforesaid surrender should stand in force and if default is made in any way upon the above condition that the aforesaid surrender should be forfeit finished and void by virtue of this and the aforesaid Margery should be allowed by the lady to enter by licence of the lady into the aforesaid tenement with garden and 20a of land with all its appurtenances as in her previous estate and the aforesaid Wm Pottelboy gave to the lady for a fine etc and made fealty and afterwards in the same said court the aforesaid Wm Pottleboy surrendered into the hands of the lady the aforesaid tenement and the aforesaid lands with appurtenances to the use of Jn Stowe to whom the lady thereof granted seisin to hold to the same Jn his heirs and assigns from the lady at the will of the lady according to the custom of the manor saving the rights etc upon the form and conditions which the same said Wm held and he gave to the lady for a fine as shown etc and made fealty
