fine 20d to this court came Alice late wife of Wm Clovyere and in full court surrendered into the hands of the lady one cottage with garden adjoining with appurtenances called Lytels as by the metes and bounds divided to the use of Robt Kirton otherwise called Tayllor Wm Atte Wode and Thos Kelet to whom the lady granted seisin to hold to the same said Robt Wm and Thos their heirs and assigns from the lady at the will of the lady according to the custom of the manor saving whatever rights etc upon this form and condition following however that if the aforesaid Robt his heirs or assigns should pay or cause to be paid to the same said Alice or her executors 73s4d of legal english money at the following feasts viz at michaelmas.next 3s4d and at the feast of easter next 5s and at the feast of michaelmas next then following after 5s and thus from year to year each year 10s until the aforesaid 73s4d is fully paid to the aforesaid Alice and thus if the aforesaid Robt Wm and Thos their heirs and assigns should in any of the aforesaid payments at any of the aforesaid feasts be in arrears that then the aforesaid Alice and her heirs should be able to reenter into the aforesaid cottage with garden adjoining with appurtenances by the lady's licence into her former estate and also the same said Robt Wm and Thos should pay or cause to be paid to Thos Hunte Robt Segge Robt Mordon Thos Mordon Jn Maldon and Jn Wryghte of Colfordhel 4marks of legal english money to the use and profit of the church of St Andrew of the aforesaid Colne viz at the feast of michaelmas then next following 8s4d and at the feast of michaelmas then next following after that 8s4d and thus from year to year until the aforesaid 4marks should be fully paid to the same and they gave to the lady for a fine as shown etc and made fealty etc
