fine 3s4d | at this court Jn Maldon out of court languishing in extremis surrendered into the hands of Jn Turnor bailiff of this manor in the presence of Jn Rouncy Jn Tredgold and other of the lord's tenants one messuage with appurtenances lying between a messuage of Xian Sonyngwell on one part and a messuage late of Wm Gentry on the other part one head abutting upon the king's highway leading from Earls Colne towards Colchester which Jn Hyne had by the surrender and statute of common right as shown in another court roll to the use of Wm Omond chaplain Jn Nightingale and Wm Sorel to whom the lord now at this court granted thereof seisin to hold to the same said Wm Jn and Wm their heirs and assigns from the lord at the will of the lord by ancient services and customs etc and they gave to the lord for a fine etc and made fealty etc |
