fine 12d to this court came Robt Sebrit and surrendered into the hands of the lord one cottage with curtilage called Smythes with appurtenances lying opposite the Mellhell to the use of Thos Whrygth upon this condition however that the aforesaid Thos or his attorney should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Robt or his attorney 25s8d at the feast of xmas.next after the date of this court or at some further choice of time to whom the lord granted thereof seisin to hold to the same said Thos his heirs and assigns from the lord at the will of the lord by ancient services and customs etc and upon the aforesaid condition etc and if it should happen that the aforesaid Thos or his attorney should default in paying the aforesaid at the previously named time then the aforesaid Robt or his attorney should truly be allowed by the lord's licence to reenter into the said cottage with appurtenances and to retain it in his former estate notwithstanding the surrender otherwise it should stand in its force and in right etc and he gave to the lord for a fine etc and made fealty etc
