Earls Colne Jn Adam now Jn Mille inquisition | whereas at a court here held on the saturday next after the feast of st luke the evangelist 20.10.4Edw3 Jn Adam now Jn Mille (inserted) came and surrendered into the hands of the lord 2r of land lying in a field called Oldeknoll adjoining lands of the said Jn thus proportioned by the metes and bounds and 2r of marsh as it is enclosed lying next to Sandhill to the use of Jn Borlee and his heirs to whom etc to hold to the same by the services and customs etc therefore it is presented to seize into the hands of the lord until etc and to return to the lord of the profits etc item the aforesaid Jn of Borlee Mille (inserted) came and surrendered into the hands of the lord 1a2r of land which were at some time of Roger Foche lying in the field called Oldeknoll to the use of the said Jn Adam and for services made to the lord per annum viz at the feast of michaelmas until the gula augusti ten customary services and from the end of the gula augusti until the feast of michaelmas four customary services and 4d for divers favourable services extended in allowances to the use of the aforesaid Jn de Borlee etc therefore it is presented to seize into the hands of the lord until etc and to return to the lord of the profits item Wm son of Adam Sutor came and surrendered into the hands of the lord one plot of land containing 20ft in length and in breadth 10ft lying between a tenement of the said Wm on one part and a tenement of Robt in the Hale to the use of the said Robt and Rose his wife and their heirs by the services and customs etc |
