and also they present that the lord earl of Oxford lord of this manor sold to a certain Thos Chylde of Coggeshale timber trees growing in a little grove called Ausaxhegge because the said Thos upon the aforesaid bargain made which was agreed between them that the aforesaid Thos should enclose the aforesaid grove for the aforesaid protection of the aforesaid saplings newly growing and the same said saplings of the aforesaid grove because of faulty enclosure were by divers beasts and animals destroyed and uprooted etc therefore it was presented to distrain the said Thos against the next court to make satisfaction to the lord concerning the said trespass made in that manner
