fine 3s4d to this court came Hen Budder and Joan his wife she herself solely examined by the steward in court and Jn Soneld senior and Ralph Noke and surrendered into the hands of the lord one customary tenement called Okemans with lands meadows and customary pastures belonging to the same with all their appurtenances in the village of Earls Colne to the use of Wm Bome and his heirs to whom by the steward there was seisin granted thereof to have and to hold to himself his heirs and assigns by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed saving the right of each thereof etc and he gave to the lord for a fine for having his estate thereof etc and made fealty to the lord etc
