fine 3s4d condition and in this same court the aforesaid Wm Bome present in court surrendered into the hands of the lord the aforesaid tenement with its lands meadows and pastures belonging to the same with all its appurtenances to the use of Jn At Wode and Joan his wife and their heirs upon the following condition viz that if the aforesaid Jn and Joan his wife should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Wm or his right attorney 9marks of legal english money namely at the feast of easter next following after the date of this court 40s thereof and at the feast of easter then next following 40s thereof and at the feast of easter then next following 40s without further delay that then that the present surrender with seisin thereof delivered as above should remain in its force and right and if they should default in any payment of the aforesaid payment in pa rt or in whole at any feast thereof when payment should be made in any year whatsoever that then truly it should be allowed to the aforesaid Wm Bome or his executors into the aforesaid tenement lands meadow and pasture with all its appurtenances by licence of the lord or his heirs to reenter and to retain for himself his heirs and executors as in his previous estate this surrender and seisin thereof above delivered notwithstanding etc to whom by the steward upon the aforesaid condition seisin was delivered to have and to hold to the aforesaid Jn and Joan his wife their heirs and assigns by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed saving the rights etc and they gave to the lord for a fine for having their estate thereof as shown etc and the aforesaid Jn made fealty to the lord etc
