fine 4d condition and Jn Soneld senior surrendered into the hands of the lord one cottage called Werdes with appurtenances to the use of Rich Wryghte Ellen his wife and Thos Prynce upon the condition that if the aforesaid Rich Ellen and Thos should pay or cause to be paid to the aforesaid Jn or his certain attorney 23s4d of legal money of England at the feasts below written viz at the feast of the nativity of st john baptist next following after the date of this court 20d and at michaelmas then next following 5s and at the feast of xmas next 2s6d and at the feast of easter then next following 2s6d and at the feast of the nativity of st john baptist next 2s6d and at the feast of michaelmas then next 2s6d and thus for each year then next following 20d until the aforesaid 23s4d should be fully paid and if they should default in any of the payments aforesaid in part or in whole at any of the feasts for payment thereof which ought to be paid then then truly it should be allowed to the aforesaid Jn Soneld and his executors to reenter into the aforesaid cottage with appurtenances by the lord's licence and to retain it for himself his heirs and executors as in his former estate this surrender and seisin thereof delivered notwithstanding to whom truly the aforesaid Rich Ellen and Thos upon the condition and form preceding by the steward were delivered thereof seisin to hold to them their heirs and assigns by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed etc saving the right etc and they gave for a fine as shown etc and made fealty etc
