fine 8d to this court came Thos Jakes and Alice his wife late the wife of Jn Pynell and she alone being examined by the steward and Hugh Woodrove surrendered into the lord's hands one tenement with a garden adjoining and one barn with the appurtenances called Stephans and one croft of land late parcel of Lowfield late the foresaid Jn Penyles that the lord might do his will with the same and incontinently (sic) in the same court the lord being thereof seised in his possession of his favour by his steward regranted the aforesaid tenement with the garden and barn called Stephens and the foresaid croft of land parcel of Lowfield to the foresaid Thos Jakes Alice his wife and Hugh Woderove to hold to the foresaid Thos Alice and Hugh and the heirs and assigns of the said Alice by the rod to the will of the lord by the services therefore due and of right accustomed and they give the lord for fine 8d and made fealty and they are admitted tenants
