Mellhill and Lophams | fine 4d to this court came Jn Tilwicke and took out of the hands of the lord the king one parcel of land with the appurtenances called Mellehill and one garden with the appurtenances called Lophams containing 1r of land or more etc lying over against the hill aforesaid called the Mellhill etc on the south side to hold to him and his assigns for term of forty years next coming after the date of this court and fully to be complete paying therefore yearly to the lord the king during the nonage of Jn now earl of Oxenford and afterwards to the said earl and his heirs 6d viz for the foresaid Mellhill 2d and for the foresaid Lophams 4d at two usual terms of the year viz at the feast of easter and michaelmas by equal portions and suit at the court to who by the lord's steward there is possession thereof delivered to hold to him and his heirs for term aforesaid and he giveth fine and made fealty |
