at this court came Thos Roote and quarreled against Simon Lyngewoode in a plea of trespass therefore they pained the bailiff to attach the said Simon by his goods and chattels to appear at the next court to answer the said Thos in the plea aforesaid etc if he does not freely appear etc and reply etc then here came the aforesaid defendant in court freely and asks for a day until the next court to appear to reply to the aforesaid quarrel in the plea aforesaid and day is given at the next on the petition etc therefore the day is given to the plaintiff aforesaid
