Mordens Xfine     it is found by the homage that Hen Layer out of the court and since the last court lying on his death bed surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Wm Swattocke one of the lord's tenants in the presence of Jn Pennocke likewise one of the lord's tenants and other the same witnessing one tenement with the appurtenances called Mordens to the use and behoof of Alice his wife during all the term of her life to remain after her decease to Wm Layer son of the foresaid Hen and his heirs on condition that the foresaid Wm immediately after the death of the foresaid Alice his mother shall pay or cause to be paid to Hen Layer his brother son of the foresaid Hen 10li sterling to which Alice by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to her and her assigns during the term of her life of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor to remain after her decease to the foresaid Wm and his heirs and assigns on condition aforesaid of the lord by the rod etc and the foresaid Alice giveth fine and made fealty etc
