alone and secretly examined by the lord's steward surrendered into the lord's hands one tenement with a garden adjoining and the appurtenances called

situate and lying in Colne aforesaid to the intent that the lord thereof so seised might regrant the said tenement with the garden adjoining and the appurtenances to the said

to hold to her for term of her life to remain after her decease to one

son of the foresaid

and his heirs and the lord by virtue of the surrendered aforesaid in the foresaid tenement with the garden so seised at this present court by his steward granted out of his hands the said tenement and the garden with the appurtenances to the foresaid

and her assigns during the term of her life of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor to remain after her decease to the foresaid
Thos Smythe
and his heirs to which
Isabel
by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to her and her assigns during the whole term of her life of the lord by the rod etc and she giveth fine etc and made fealty
