Garlands Xfine 6s8d at this court the lord by his steward and by the advice consent and survey of Robt Rochester esq the lord's surveyor granted out of his hands to Lewis Jegon of Colne aforesaid one tenement with a garden adjoining called Garlands lying in Colne aforesaid viz between the tenement of Joan Mugge widow on the west part and the land sometime Rich Booner and now Jn Malaryes on the east part one head thereof abutting upon the highway there toward the south and the other head thereof abutting upon the tenement of Geo Bieston toward the north as etc to hold to the same Lewis his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor yielding th erefore yearly to the lord and his heirs lord's of this manor 20d sterling of yearly rent at two usual terms of the manor viz at the feast of st michael the archangel and the annunciation of blessed marie the virgin by equal portions to be paid and suit to the court according to the custom of the manor to which Lewis by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
