Copes X Swinesty Xfine     to this court came Agnes Baldwyn singlewoman and surrendered into the lord's hands the reversion of one cottage with a curtilage and the appurtenances sometime called Copes and lieth between the messuage sometime Steph Miller's of the one part and the garden of Jn Wright of the other part the one head thereof abutting upon the way leading toward Colchester as etc and also one parcel of land of the waste lying upon Colfordhill upon which there is a certain swinesty builded by one Wm Swattocke and contains in length 14ft of assize and in breadth 12ft6i as etc when it shall happen by and after the death of the said Wm Swattock and Joan his wife to the use and behoof of Hen Wyte his heirs and assigns who by Geo Bieston his attorney came and craved to be admitted thereunto and he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and his fealty is respited until etc
