being alone and secretly examined by the lord's steward surrendered into the lord's hands one cottage with a garden adjoining and their appurtenances called
Lytmans
as by the metes and bounds etc to the use and behoof of
Thos Turnor
his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to have and to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and he giveth fine etc and made fealty etc yet this present surrender and seisin thereof del ivered is made on condition following viz that if the foresaid

his heirs or assigns pay or cause to be paid unto the said
Geo Bieston
or his certain attorney or executors 6li10s of good and usual money of England beside 30s before paid in manner and form following viz within fourteen days next after the feast of st john baptist next coming after the title of this court in the mansion house of the said

at Colne aforesaid 5li and at the feast of the birth of our lord then next following in the place aforesaid 30s in full payment of the said 6li10s that then this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered remain and be in all his strength and effect and if there be default in any payment of the payments aforesaid contrary to the form aforesaid that then it shall be lawful to the same

and his heirs into the foresaid tenement and other the premises with the appurtenances and every parcel thereof to reenter and have again and to have hold enjoy and possess as in their former estate and the foresaid
Thos Turnor
his heirs and assigns from thence wholly to expel and remove this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered in anywise notwithstanding
