tuesday in the week of pentecost in the 23Hen8 30.5.1531
it was found by the homage that one
Wm Lingwood
lying upon his death bed surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of
Jn Sparrowe
one of the lord's tenants in the presence of
Thos Roote
likewise the lord's tenant and other the same witnessing one croft of land enclosed late
Jn Tredgold's
lying near
Beerecrofte
to the use and behoof of
Jn Farthinge
during the whole term of seven years and after the said term of seven years to remain to
Wm Farthinge
son of the said
Jn Farthinge
and his heirs as in the said leet with the court more at large appears now it is found by the homage that the said term of seven years long before this present court is ended and determined and that the foresaid
Wm Farthing
is deceased and they say fur ther that
Edm Farthinge
of Stowemarkette is cousin and next heir of the foresaid
Wm
and hath right to the premises viz the brother of the foresaid
Jn Farthing
father of the said
Wm
who being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found out by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
