two cottages sometime Wm Attewood's Xfine 12d to this court came Jn Estay and surrendered into the lord's hands two customary cottages lying in Colne aforesaid sometime Wm Attewood's late Jeff Buckwell's and since Nich Moore's as by the metes and bounds etc to the intent that the lord thereof so seised might regrant the said two cottages with the appurtenances to the foresaid Jn Estay to hold to him and his assigns during the whole term of his life to remain after his decease to Wm Estay his son and his heirs and the lord by virtue of the surrender in the two cottages with the appurtenances so seised at this present court by his steward regranted out of his hands the foresaid two cottages with the appurtenances to hold to the same Jn Estaie during the whole term of his life of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor to remain after his decease to the foresaid Wm Estaie and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc to which Estay by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him and his assigns of the lord by the rod etc to remain after his decease to the foresaid Wm Estay and his heirs and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
