Lavenhams Garden Xfine 8d it is found by the homage that Geo Kettell out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Jn Barret one of the lord's tenants in the presence of Thos Turnor likewise the lord's tenant and other the same witnessing one customary garden with the appurtenances called Lavehams otherwise called Orlegersgarden sometime called Drapersgarden in Colne aforesaid to the use and behoof of Geo Bieston and Agnes his wife during the whole term of the life of one Alice sometime the wife of Thos Harryson deceased to remain after the decease of the foresaid Alice to the churchwardens of Earls Colne for the time being to sell and the money thereof coming to be bestowed according to the force form and effect of a certain surrender thereof made by one Wm Chappet tenant thereof as in the leet with the court there hold en on tuesday in the week of pentecost in the 23Hen8 30.5.1531 more at large appeareth which Geo being present in the court came and craved himself and the foresaid Agnes his wife to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore they are admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to them during the whole term of the life of the foresaid Alice Harrison of the lord by the rod to remain after the decease of the foresaid Alice as before and they give fine etc and made fealty
