20d Clovyers to this court came Wm Finch and surrendered into the lord's hands one cottage with a garden adjoining and their appurtenances called Clovyers and also three crofts of customary land with appurtenances called Pettiscroft as etc to the intent that the lord being thereof so seised might regrant the said cottage with the garden adjoining and the appurtenances and other the premises to the foresaid Wm Finch and his assigns during the whole term of his life to remain after his decease to one Hen Finche and his heirs and the lord by virtue of the surrender aforesaid in the premises so seised at this present court by his steward regranted out of his hands the said cottage with the garden adjoining with the appurtenances and other the premises to the foresaid Wm Finche and his assigns during the whole term of his life to remain after his decease to the foresaid Hen Finche and his heirs to which Wm by the lord's steward there is seisin delivered to hold to him and his assigns during the whole term of his life of the lord by the rod etc to remain after his decease as before etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
