fine 12d The Taverne it is found by the homage that Jas Game that held to him and his heirs of the lord as of this manor by the rod etc one cellar called The Taverne with one sollar thereupon builded and one shop with appurtenances as they are situate in Colne aforesaid viz between the maypole and the church as etc died since the last court of and in the foresaid cellar and other the premises with the appurtenances sole seised in his demesne as of fee according etc and they say further that Nich Game of full age is brother and next heir of the foresaid Jas and hath right to the premises who being present in the court came and prayed to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
