fine 7s Skinners Messuage | to this court came Robt Stooks and prayed licence of the lord to let to farm to one Hen Smythe and his assigns one messuage with appurtenances called Skinners one croft of land sometime builded one garden called Burtons Garden with free ingress and egress through the gates of the manor there viz from the highway toward Colchester even to the said barn and through the lord's croft called Barecrofte as well to carry and recarry there through the said gate as through the said croft of land one tenement with appurtenances called Gentrys three crofts of land containing 12a called Brome Crofts one croft of land containing 11a of land called Beerecroft together with one way leading to the foresaid field to drive and chase and one meadow late parcel of the said croft of land called Beerecroft containing 3a with the appurtenances lying in Earls Colne aforesaid as by the meets and bounds etc for term of twenty one years next following and fully to be complete and ended the said term beginning at the feast of michaelmas.last past before the date of this court on divers conditions and covenants between them agreed on as in an indenture between them made and brought and shown here in the court more at large appears to whom by the lord's steward there is licence granted and he giveth fine to the lord for this licence to be had and enrolled as appears |
