fine 13s4d | it is found by the homage that Greg Garrard out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Peerson and Jn Ward the lord's customary tenants the same witnessing 1a of land or more or less and one customary garden with a pond thereunto adjoining to the use and behoof of Agnes Bieston her heirs and assigns on the condition that if the foresaid Greg Garrard or his heirs or any of them pay of cause to be paid to the said Agnes Bieston her heirs or her executors at the feast of xmas.1570 8li of good and lawful money of England that then this present surrender shall be void and of no form in law otherwise for default of payment of the 8li after the foresaid feast in which as is aforesaid it ought to be paid if the foresaid Agnes or her heirs or executors pay or cause to be paid to the foresaid Greg his heirs or executors at the aforesaid feast other 8li of good etc or within the seven days after the said feast that then this present surrender shall be in his full force and effect which foresaid Agnes being present here in the court prayed to be admitted to the premises according to the form of the surrender aforesaid by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and he (sic) giveth fine etc and made fealty |
