fine 5s7d it is found by the homage that whereas Greg Garrard surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Peerson gentleman and Jn Ward the lord's tenants the same witnessing 1a of land or more or less and one customary garden with a certain pond to the same adjoining to the use and behoof of Agnes Bieston her heirs and assigns on condition that the foresaid Greg pay or cause to be paid to the foresaid Agnes Bieston her executors at xmas.1570 8li of good and lawful money of England as in the leet with court here holden on monday being the 24.9.7Eliz1 more at large appears the foresaid Greg out of court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Thos Polley in the presence of Thos Allen and Jn Marche (may be Jn Marche) the lord's tenants the same witnessing the foresaid 1a of land and other the premises with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Barth Church his heirs and assigns on condition of payment of the sum of money aforesaid in the name of the foresaid Greg to the aforesaid Agnes her executors or administrators in form aforesaid whereupon to this court came the foresaid Barth and according to the surrender aforesaid prayed to be admitted to the premises to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
