| it is found by the homage that Greg Garrard that held to him and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc one croft of land called Spoutecroft alias Rycrofte containing by estimation 4a or more or less as in the court here holden on monday being 11.4.17Eliz1 more at large appears out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Thos Allen instead of the bailiff in the presence of Wm Finche and Hen Smythe the lord's customary tenants and other the same witnessing the foresaid croft of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Jn Potter and his heirs and assigns who being present in court came and prayed to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor saving the right etc and he giveth fine and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant |
