fine 20s it is found by the homage that Nich Cheborne that held to him and heirs of the lord by the rod etc one barn now a tenement with a garden adjoining with appurtenances called Pannells as in the court roll here holden 28.7.20Eliz1 more at large appears out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Wm Meddowe and Thos Allen the lord's customary tenants and in the presence of other the same witnessing the foresaid barn or tenement with garden adjoining with the appurtenances to the use and behoof of Rich Peare of Wakes Colne his heirs and assigns yet on the form and condition following viz that the foresaid Rich Peare his heirs executo rs or assigns shall pay or cause to be paid unto the foresaid Nich Cheborne his heirs executors or assigns yearly during the term of ten years 26s8d of good and lawful money of England viz on the feast day of the apostles philip and jacob during the term aforesaid the first payment beginning in the feast aforesaid which shall be in the year 1.5.1582 whereupon to this court came the foresaid Rich Peare and prayed to be admitted to the premises according to the form and effect of the surrender aforesaid to whom etc by the rents and services etc and he gave etc and made etc and is etc
