fine a fat capon Newtons Waste at this court the lord sitting personally in the court at the instance and request of Francis Newton granted out of his hands to the said Francis one parcel of the waste soil of this manor upon which a cottage is now builded containing in length 28y of land and in breadth 10y at one head and at the other head 9y and a half abutting at on head toward the north and at the other toward the south and it lieth between a parcel of land belonging to The Heyhouse toward the east and the highway leading towards Colne Park towards the west and by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to the same Francis by the rod to have and to hold etc to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor renting therefore yearly to the lord and his heirs lord's of this manor 6d and doing fealty and common suit to the court of this manor and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
