item they present that one     Trowles hath taken into his house within the precinct of this leet an inmate contrary to the decree and order heretofore decreed and ordered by the homage of the court aforesaid therefore he hath forfeited 20s and it is further decreed by the homage aforesaid that no man within the precinct of the leet aforesaid shall take any inmate into his house except they be able yearly to buy four loads of wood to burn in their said houses and also it is decreed that if any man or woman any man's servants or children be taken breaking of hedges or be known to break hedges that the parents or masters of them which shall so offend shall forfeit for every such default 12d and that it shall be lawful for the constables upon every such trespass committed as aforesaid to distrain within any of their houses or tenements and carry away so much of their goods and chattles as shall be due and if any such parents or masters sh all deny to pay such sums of money as shall be due that then it shall be lawful for the constables to send them to the stocks and there keep them at the discretion of the said constables or headboroughs and if the said constables may be proved to make default herein they shall forfeit for every default 2s6d
