to this court came Geo Cressener gentleman in his own proper person and showed two copies made him out of the court rolls of this manor in the 20Eliz1 by which he claimeth to hold to him and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten the remainder thereof for default of such issue to Mary late the wife of Humph Freebody late the daughter of Thos Cressener deceased and now the wife of Chas Haie by virtue of the surrender of Sibill Reynoldes widow late the wife of Humph Reynoldes and before the wife of Jn Cressener one croft of land now in two parts divided containing by estimation 8a with appurtenances lying in the field called Lowefield under Chiffen beside bercaria from the conduit and three crofts of land called Bromead Crofts lying in Earls Colne by fealty suit of court and rent of     by the year and two crofts of land containing by estimation 16a lying in Lowefield aforesaid under the dwelling house sometime of Jn Wroo and now of the said Sibill of the one part and besides a certain field called Kevitts Field then in the lord's hands of the other part by fealty suit of court and rent of     by the year and hereupon came here to this court the foresaid Chas and Mary in their own proper persons and the same Mary being alone examined by the said steward surrendered remised released and for ever for them and the heirs of the said Mary quitclaimed to the foresaid Geo in his full and peaceable possession and seisin being and to his heirs and assigns all their right state title use interest and demand which they have and claim to have in all the foresaid land with appurtenances so that neither the foresaid Chas and Mary or any of them or the heirs or assigns of any of them shall or may hereafter challenge claim or demand any estate right title or interest in the premises but are for ever utterly barred from all action of right estate or title thereof by this present release and enrolment thereof and for this release allowance and enrolling the same in the court rolls of this manor the same Geo made fine with the lord
