it appears to the homage that Hen Bridge after the last court out of court surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Robt Reade instead of the bailiff in the presence of Thos Smith and Jn Green customary tenants of the lord witnessing four parcels or crofts of land and pasture customary with appurtenances late parcel of Lowefield containing by estimation 20a more or less and one parcel containing =a once Margt Wood's late wife of Geo Wood mother of the aforesaid Hen held by the rod as shown by the court roll of the manor by copy of court roll also the reversion and remainder of the premises to the work and use of Jn Peirson and Edith his wife and the heirs of their bodies legitimately procreated and for default of heirs to remain to Jn Peirson and his heirs forever and to this court came Jn Peirson and prayed to be admitted tenant of the lord by the surrender aforesaid and the lord by the steward delivered seisin to the said Jn Peirson and Edith his wife and their legitimate heirs and for default of heirs to remain to the said Jn Peirson and his assigns forever of the lord by the rod according to the custom of the manor by all rents and services fine 10li and they were admitted to the premises and made fealty and now at this court came Edm Potter in his proper person and surrendered quitclaimed and released into the hands of the lord by the steward a parcel or croft of land with appurtenances and all right and title to the work and use of the aforesaid Jn Peirson and Edith his wife so that neither Edm Potter nor his heirs nor any other in his name have any claim to the land
