six that he knoweth it to be true that the paper book filed together or bundle of paper rolls or evidences now showed unto him at this the time of his examination containeth the entries of the court holden for the said manor of Earls Colne on 18.9.31Eliz1 was all made and written partly by the said mr Cooke himself and partly by some others that were then his clerks and which did it by his the said mr Cooke's direction and appointment for this deponent saith that he doth as well know the several handwriting in this book as he doth his own and he saith that he can if need were particularly set down and distinguish which particular entry in this book was written by the said mr Cooke himself and which was written by his clerks and what the several names were that did write them
