five that he knoweth it to be true that the said mr Cooke was a very sufficient steward for the keeping of courts and a marvellous honest and just man in his dealings in the world and sure he is that the general opinion and voice of the country whereabouts he dwelt and was known was that he was a very honest and upright dealing man and that for his experience and sufficiency in keeping of courts there was scarce or none like him and this deponent neither knoweth hath heard nor believeth that either the honesty or sufficiency of the said mr Cooke was ever impeached or so much as questioned or suspected and more he saith not to this interrogatory
