four that it is very true that he this deponent was servant unto and did dwell in house with Jn Cooke esq in the article named and that he did so serve him within some two or three years next before his death and this deponent knoweth that during the time that this deponent dwelt with the said mr Cooke and for divers years before as this deponent was credibly informed he the said mr Cooke did keep courts for Roger Harlakenden esq in the article named who was then lord of the manor of Earls Colne for the said manor and he further saith that he the said mr Cooke did then also and for many years before keep courts for the right honourable the lord Riche and for divers other persons of great credit and quality for divers manors as well in Essex as elsewhere and this he saith is all that he can say to this interrogatory
