to the second he says that he knows the gate and way standing and being within a part of the 380a of land leading from Westye Wood parcel of the park towards the Great Lodge and says that he has heard that divers persons which have bought wood and timber growing in Westye Wood have with cart and otherwise carried the wood and timber through the said gate or way divers places out of the park at all times since the disparking of the park what their names and who have carried timber he cannot say and says it is about three years since he first knew the said gate standing in the said place and says further that there is a nearer and more convenient way for horse and cart leading from the said West Wood towards Coggeshall whither Read carried the wood and timber at the time this examinant and his father stopped him and denied him to pass that way then their way which this examinant and his father upon request permitted him to pass if the complainant had not ditched up the same way
