(much abbreviated only Earls Colne land noted) made at Walden Essex 6.10.22Jas1 before Robt Wa# (worn) on commission of the king before Thos Beckenham kt Robt Andrews gent on the oaths of Jn Prentice of Runsell Xoph Hawes of Runsell Hen Pearson of Runsell Math Cleveland of Runsell Wm Cook of Runsell Jn Cage of Guyboners Jn Sharp of Runsell Peter Freeston of Runsell Thos Stephens of Maldon Thos Stockley of Maldon who say on their oaths that Barth Church at the time of his outlawry aforesaid which was on 11.11.21Jas1 was seised in his demesne as of fee in one messuage with apps situate in Earls Colne now in the tenure or occupation of Jn Cosin gent and which (torn) is of value of 8li also they say that the aforesaid Barth at the time of his outlawry on 10.11.21Jas1 was seised in his demesne of fee in certain closes of customary land containing by estimation 12a and apps and in one parcel of customary land with apps containing by estimation 10a# lying in Earls Colne aforesaid now in the occupation of Jn Cosin held of Rich Harlakenden esq by copy of court roll of the manor of Earls Colne of the clear yearly value without reprise of 12li and also they say that Barth aforesaid at the time of his outlawry was seised of certain closes called Bearcroft containing by estimation 4a and apps in Earls Colne now in the tenure or occupation of a certain Toby Cressener and of the clear yearly value of 53s and that Barth at the time of his outlawry was seised in his demesne as of fee in one messuage customary illegible text in Earls Colne aforesaid now in the occupation of one Jn Betts held from the aforesaid Rich Harlakenden esq by copy of court roll of the manor of Colne Priory aforesaid and of the clear yearly value of 8li and at the aforesaid time of his outlawry the aforesaid Barth was seised of another messuage with apps in Earls Colne in the occupation of Jn Brian held of Rich Harlakenden by copy of court roll of the manor of Colne Priory of the clear yearly value of 20s and that the same Barth before the time of his outlawry was seised in his demesne as of fee of one close of land with apps containing by estimation 3a and a half (torn) late in the occupation of Jn Brownson held by copy of court roll of the said Rich Harlakenden of the manor of Colne Priory aforesaid and of the clear yearly value of 40s and they lastly say that the aforesaid Barth Church before the time of his outlawry was seised in his demesne as of fee in right of a reversion in two customary closes called Lowfields containing in estimation 8a lying in Earls Colne which are held of Rich Harlakenden by copy of court roll of the manor of Earls Colne which Rose Church widow mother of the aforesaid Barth now holds for the term of her life of the surrender of Jn Church late her husband deceased late father of Barth and the aforesaid two closes of land are of the clear yearly value of 8li and also the jury aforesaid say that the aforesaid Barth named in the commission aforesaid at the time of his outlawry 10.11.21Jas1 had goods chattels and debts and specialities (worn out illegible from then on)
