abstract of the will of Jn Eldred esq 9.9.1738 Wigborow estate to his sister Ann Eldred in fee simple subject to encumbrances Olivers etc in Stanaway to his said sister Ann for life then to Haines and Bernard to preserve contingent remainders remainder to the first son etc and the heirs of the body of such a first son etc for want of sons to daughters and heirs of such daughters and for default of such issue to Jn Barfoote esq for life then to the said trustees etc remainder to his issue in tail etc and in default of such issues to remain to the youngest son of Bernard his trustee in fee the moiety of the manors of Earls Colne and Colne Priory to his said sister Ann Eldred for life then to the said trustees etc remainder to her issue in tail etc remainder to Thos Kilner linen draper for life then to the trustees aforesaid remainder to his issue in tail remainder to Phil the youngest son of my brother the rev mr Kilner in fee subject and stand charged with upholding his share of Earls Colne bridge and vault in Earls Colne churchyard Cornard estate in Suffolk to his said sister Ann Eldred for life then to the said trustees remainder to her younger sons and daughters remainder to all the dau ghters of the rev mr Bernard of Earls Colne vicar and to the child and children of such daughters as tenants in common and their heirs chargeable with 10li per annum to mrs Margt Arris mrs Martha Gibson 10li per annum mrs Ann Brayne 10li per annum mr Sam Gledhill 5li per annum mrs Eliz Cage 5li per annum mr Sam Daniel 5li per annum during the several lives of him and his wife and the said legatees by written receipt signed and marked by them to be entitled to the same as if demanded in person except Gledhill without any sort of deduction during their several lives Middlewick in Colchester to his said sister Ann Eldred for life manor and farm called Holts in Birch Easthorpe to his wife in fee in lieu of 1000li which he covenanted on his marriage she should have and so discharge d his other estates from payment of the same and also 5li per annum for life to his gardener Robt Pottle or in lieu thereof and to maintain him as a gardener and to give 10li to bind out his eldest son or in default of him his youngest an apprentice the estate in Halstead or Stisted to his sister Ann Eldred for life then to his said trustees remainder to her youngest children and the heirs of their respective bodies as tenants in fee farm and wood called Tilekilne and Pound Farm and Chalkney Wood and field let to a brickmaker in Earls Colne to his said sister Ann Eldred for life then to his said trustees remainder to her younger children and to the heirs of their respective bodies as tenants in common remainder to all the unmarried daughters of his uncle Edw Horseman as tenants in common and to their heirs of their respective bodies in fee Walnuttree Farm copyhold of Copford to Susannah Eldred his wife for life
