this is the final agreement made in the court of our sovereign and lord the king at Westminster from the day of holy trinity in three weeks in .5.22Geo2 by the grace of god etc before Jn Willes Thos Abney Thos Burnett and Thos Birch justices of our lord the king and others then and there present between Jacob Pattison plaintiff and Abraham Lake and Susannah his wife Ben Lake and Mary his wife and Jacob Lake deforciants of five messuages five cottages five gardens five orchards 20a of land 4a of meadow and 5a of pasture with appurtenances in Earls Colne Witham and Boreham whereupon a plea of covenant was summoned between them in the same court that is to say that the aforesaid Abraham and Susannah Ben and Mary and Jacob Lake have acknowledged the aforesaid tenement with appurtenances to be the right of him the said Jacob Pattison as those which the said Jacob had of the gift of the said Abraham and Susannah Ben and Mary and Jacob Lake and those they have remised and quitclaimed from them etc and their heirs to the aforesaid Jacob Pattison and his heirs forever and moreover the said Abraham and Susannah Ben and Mary and Jacob Lake have granted for them and the heirs of the said Abraham that they will warrant to the aforesaid Jacob Pattison and his heirs the aforesaid tenement and appurtenances against them etc (each in turn quitclaim to Pattison) etc and for this acknowledgement remise quitclaim warranty fine and agreement the said Jacob Pattison has given the aforesaid Abraham etc 160li
